Project Overview
Perfect Day Mexico VR was an immersive 360° hot air balloon simulation commissioned by Royal Caribbean. The project was a high-profile collaboration between Endorphin experience agency and Agile Lens Immersive Design.
Role & Execution
As the Lead Unreal Developer, I engineered both the standalone VR headset application and a dedicated Android tablet manager app. The experience allowed groups of six to virtually preview the "Perfect Day Mexico" water park from a hot air balloon.
Beyond development, I served as the Onsite Technical Lead for the four-day President’s Cruise. I managed the end-to-end installation and technical support, successfully facilitating the experience for approximately 950 guests.

Technical Challenges
Deploying on a cruise ship presented unique constraints, specifically restricted internet access and unreliable spatial anchoring due to the ship’s movement. To solve this, I implemented a local area network (LAN) using a dedicated router, utilizing OSC (Open Sound Control) for seamless, low-latency communication between all headsets and the manager tablet.
